Job Title: MPD Operations, Well-site Supervisor
Job Scope
Provide on-site coordination of equipment and personnel in domestic and/or international work locations
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise field installation and operation of Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) jobs including pre-planning and logistics, supervision of all on-site @Balance personnel and post-well performance summary reporting
- Troubleshoot for field operations in the operation, maintenance and repair of MPD equipment
- Independently manage client relationship and expectations on-site, and when appropriate, demonstrate and explain MPD technology.
- Maintain and develop client relationships and use internal @Balance relationships to optimize quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction
- Participate in the design and supervision of all MPD field tests
- Recommend new approaches and/or specifications for new and existing equipment, software and procedures
- Mentoring lesser experienced MPD personnel
- May assist in managing optimum pressure control to achieve drilling objectives
- May participate in developing technical training programs for field personnel
- May participate in MPD feasibility studies
- Requires domestic and international travel on a rotational basis
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years oilfield experience (MPD preferred)
- 2+ years Supervision of field personnel
- BS degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field preferred, however, the equivalent in industry experience will be considered
- IADC Well Control Certificate (or equivalent) preferred
