Since 2004 we have provided automated systems and drilling engineering services for the management, measurement, analysis, and control of annular pressure, in real-time, while drilling, tripping, making connections, and running cement.

In that time we have successfully completed more automated MPD jobs and managed pressure in the narrowest of pressure margins.

With the successful completion of the merger with Smith, Schlumberger has formed the Dynamic Pressure Management business unit to be a single source supplier of industry leading MPD and UBD products and services.

Drawing from the field proven MPD and UBD products and services, rotating control devices, and well control equipment of @balance, Optimal Pressure Drilling Services, Smith, and M-I SWACO the DPM business unit will provide engineered solutions for pressure related and potential well control problems in difficult, even impossible to drill fields.
